How I started embroidery

Hi, My name is Carolyn and this is how I got started in embroidery. In 2005, after the loss of my unborn daughter, I needed a hobby. I wanted to learn to quilt. I enrolled in a quilt class and then found out my sewing machine did not have the right parts. I needed a new machine. I went to a quilt shop and started looking at machines. I quickly got confused with all the features available. They were talking embroidery and I wanted to learn that too. I finially just said, which one will do it all? I then walked out that day with a new Bernina artista 730. I did learn to quilt but when I discovered embroidery, there was no stopping me. I actually learned to sew using the embroidery machine. I began doing projects for family and friends. My friends are always asking me when am I gonna start a bussiness. Well I have finially decided to take the plunge.

I will be posting pictures of my projects and items that I have for sale. I am also learning how to use my software and creating my own embroidery patterns. My patterns will be for sale as well soon. All proceeds from my site will help me fund a much needed invitro fertilization so that one day I might be able to have a daughter to share with and pass on my creativity. The procedure I need is referred to as a donor cycle because of my age and medical diagnosis. I am unable to ever have any more children that are biologically related to me. Currently I have 2 boys from a previous marriage who are almost out of highschool. I hope you enjoy my projects and will help me make my dreams a reality. I hope my projects inspire others with their own creativity.

I do take special requests for projects. Just send me an email and I can give a quote. Any project you see on my site can be recreated and personalized your way. I have a huge collection of designs and can create almost anything your heart desires. I take pride in knowing that I have created a truly one of a kind gift that you will treasure for a lifetime.

Please note- I do not use any licensed designs or violate copyright. All my designs I use, I have permission to use commercially or I have created them myself.

Currently all my items are sewn or embroidered using the Bernina artista 730 or the Bernina 830 (new Series 8).

Take care and Hugs to everyone,

Carolyn
